This Campaign Is Bigger Than Any One Person or Party:
I am the only progressive on the ballot.
I am a progressive. I stood in that room in Pueblo on March 28th (2026) at the State Democratic Assembly and gave one hell of a speech. That day, I spoke truth to power. And I walked away knowing this election is too important to stay trapped in a system designed to keep people like me out.
The caucus and State Assembly process is not democracy. It is a closed loop. An echo chamber built to protect the entrenched political establishment and filter out anyone with a real vision. It is not designed for everyday Coloradans. It is designed for insiders.
I am not an insider.
I grew up in public housing. Born to a single mother on government assistance. I was not handed anything. I persevered. I stayed determined. And I made a decision early on that if I ever had the power to change things, I would use it. That is why I am running for Governor.
Progressive, to me, is not a talking point. It means people. It means bold, real solutions that improve lives. It means looking the status quo in the face and refusing to accept it. We are all tired of the talk. I am tired of the talk.
I am an Independent Democrat. And I have secured ballot access to the November 3, 2026 general election through the Approval Voting Party. I am grateful to the AVP delegates for trusting me to carry their line. This is not about party labels. This is about getting in front of every Coloradan and making the case for real change.
But let me be clear about what this campaign is and what it isn’t.
It is not about a party. It is not about me. It is about the 5.9 million Coloradans who deserve a Governor who has actually shown up in all 64 counties — from Yuma to Cortez, from Walden to Trinidad, from the San Luis Valley to the Eastern Plains.
My vision for Colorado is bigger than any single man or woman, bigger than any political party, and bigger than the politics of the moment. It is about housing you can afford. Childcare you can access. Healthcare that doesn’t bankrupt you. Schools that prepare your kids for the future. A water supply your grandchildren can drink. And a state government that answers to you — not to lobbyists, not to corporations, not to insiders.
This campaign is about the people of Colorado. About serving them. About improving the lives of every neighbor I’m asked to represent. And about leaving a lasting legacy that future Coloradans — including my own children — will be proud to inherit.
