In Colorado, there are only two ways for a candidate to access the ballot: through the caucus and assembly process, or by petitioning onto the ballot.
Erik Underwood has chosen the caucus process — the grassroots path — and is asking for your support to earn his place on the ballot.
As Democrats, we believe in voting rights. We believe in fair access. That commitment should extend to ballot access as well. No candidate seeking the nomination through the established party process should be denied the opportunity to compete.
There are only two candidates pursuing the nomination through the caucus and assembly route. To secure a place on the ballot, Erik needs at least 30% of the vote at the State Assembly on March 28, 2026, at Memorial Hall in Pueblo.

When is My County Hosting Caucus and Assembly?
County caucuses take place between March 3 and March 7, while county assemblies take place between March 3 and March 14. These dates vary by county, and some will be held on zoom while some will be held in-person.

What to Expect
- Most meetings last 1–3 hours
- Some counties hold caucus and assembly on the same day
- Children are welcome (bring quiet activities)
- Locations are ADA accessible or offer virtual options, depending on the county
Who Can Participate?
To vote or run for delegate at a Democratic caucus, you must:
- Be registered as a Democrat
- Be registered and affiliated by the deadline before caucus

First-time participants are welcome and encouraged.
